Registrations are now open for the 2nd Young Carers Conference in Switzerland, 12th November 2019, Zurich

Dear colleagues,

the second «Young Carers Conference in Switzerland» will take place on 12th November 2019, 08.30 am to 15.45 pm, Careum Auditorium, Zurich.

The event is open to the public and participation is free of charge. As the number of places is limited, please register quickly at youngcarers@careum.ch

What awaits you at the conference ?
Many young people support a family member or someone close to them who needs help due to an illness, accident, addiction, impairment or old age. These Young Carers and Young Adult Carers, provide essential care and support to support their family or close ones whilst continuing their education and vocational training.

In Switzerland, national data has up until now been limited. Addressing this lack of data the conference will provide an opportunity to present the results of the SNSF research project on children, adolescents and young adults as carers in Switzerland with professionals, international experts and young carers themselves.
